Knowledge Theory / Construction of Meaning Applied to Organizations

Knowledge Theory / Construction of Meaning Applied to Organizations Review

A discussion on how knowledge and construction of meaning is used by individuals in an organization. In addition, a new paradigm for organizational change is proposed that has been implemented with one company.

I would like to discuss knowledge theory and the construction of meaning as applied to organizations. Why is it important to consider the idea of knowledge and meaning? The primary reason is that members of an organization form their evaluations form the knowledge and their interpretation of the meaning of the knowledge they receive. The interpretation is an imprecise evaluation. For example, in a mathematics environment, 2 + 4 always equals 4, but in an another environment, 2 + 4 may not always equal 4 due to interpretation, as in Gestalt. Therefore, it is important to understand the theory and meaning as it is used in an organization.
